The stucco and plaster Lee County Historical Society Museum was built in 1845, and now houses vintage clothing, quilts, old toys and furniture in addition to a museum exhibit dedicated to Lee County history. The site also includes a furnished log cabin, blacksmith shop, farm tool display and an Indian teepee; demonstrations of various frontier crafts such as blacksmithing and weaving are intermittently run and open to public viewing. It is located in Loachapoka, 5 miles west of Auburn.
